The provincial-level Nisshou Mountain Forest Park is situated in the southeastern part of Tumen City, 4.3 kilometers from the city center and facing North Korea across the river. It features excellent natural conditions and a unique geographical location. At an altitude of 400 meters, visitors can take in the stunning scenery of both China and North Korea. The park covers a protected area of 647 hectares, with a forest coverage rate of 70%, and lies along the tourism route from Changbai Mountain to Tumen. Approved as a provincial forest park by the Jilin Provincial Forestry Department in 1993, the project has a planned total investment of 500 million yuan. Based on natural conditions and functions, it is divided into seven zones: the Farming Culture Landscape Area, Nisshou Mountain Logistics Service Center Area, Ski Resort and Golf Resort Area, Nisshou Mountain Buddhist Cultural Scenic Area, Nisshou Mountain Nature Education Experience Area, Outdoor Leisure Activity Area, and Nisshou Mountain Field Exploration Area. The total planned area is 16.163

km². The park also includes supporting infrastructure and service facilities. The development plan aims to protect the ecological resources of the forest park, enhance biodiversity and landscape diversity, improve environmental quality, and appropriately introduce tourism-related real estate. The goal is to achieve organic development and sustainable growth, establishing Nisshou Mountain as a national-level forest park.
