Xinghai Bay Artificial Bathing Beach is currently the largest artificial seawater bathing beach in China. Located on the southern coast of the Xinghai Bay International Business Center District, it consists of three smaller bathing areas. The beach stretches approximately 2,000 meters in total. The entire sandy shore is paved with high-quality sand transported from Beidaihe, with a thickness of 3 meters, covering an area of 45,000 square meters. Breakwaters at both ends of the curved coastline help keep the bay calm and wave-free.

Xinghai Bay is the largest square built in Dalian since the city's founding in 1899, and it is named after the bay. Covering a total area of 45,000 square meters, the project was completed in 1997. Xinghai Square is located in the southern coastal scenic area of Dalian, Liaoning Province, and is the largest urban square in Asia (even larger than Tiananmen Square). Originally an abandoned salt field in Xinghai Bay, it was named after the bay. The central plaza spans 45,000 square meters and was a project commemorating Hong Kong’s return to China. Its design fully incorporates traditional Chinese cultural elements.
