Introduction: Every late autumn, the Beihai Township Tidal Bore Mouth witnesses the spectacular phenomenon of a massive tidal surge. At this time, the sea is extraordinarily vast, and viewers feel their spirits lifted and their horizons broadened. When the roaring, surging tide comes rolling in, people rush to watch. The tidal bore, formed from the Bohai Sea, crashes and churns toward the arc-shaped Tidal Bore Mouth, initially spreading out in a fan shape, then growing narrower as it advances. With the beach being high and the water shallow, the leading wave moves slowly while the following waves surge forward rapidly, instantly forming a towering wall of water that comes crashing down, churning and surging. Its force is like a thousand galloping horses or dragons writhing in water. The thunderous roar of the waves slamming against the beach is like rumbling thunder. After a deafening crash, a massive wave peak in the shape of an upside-down straw hat rises nearly ten meters high, shooting straight up toward the sky, truly breathtaking. In the blink of an eye, the surging wave peak tumbles and dissipates, while a sudden backwash, like the claws of a fierce beast, claws at the beach’s sand and stones. With a whooshing sound, another surge of waves follows, sending up yet another towering wall of foaming water.
