Dalian Lion and Tiger Park, located at Tahewan on South Road in Lushunkou District, sits by the Xiaogushan Reservoir in Longtang Subdistrict along Lushunkou South Road, just a stone’s throw from the road. It is a comprehensive wildlife entertainment park that combines free-range animal habitats, species breeding, education, visual appeal, fun, and recreation. It is currently the largest wild habitat park for fierce beasts and rare birds in China, as well as a natural sanctuary for species breeding.

Opened in 2000, the park covers an area of 300,000 square meters and is divided into three sections: the Tiger Park, Lion Park, and Bear Park. Over 50 animals in the park are free-roaming, and visitors can take a special vehicle to drive through the area, getting up close to the animals, immersing themselves in nature, and enjoying the harmonious wilderness experience between humans and wildlife.

The park spans 300,000 square meters and is built upon the original hilly terrain of Lushun, forming a natural landscape. It features high-end enclosures for lions, tigers, and bears covering over 1,000 square meters, as well as activity areas spanning more than 200,000 square meters. Currently, the park houses over 30 animals, including Siberian tigers, African lions, brown bears, and black bears, all of which are “free-roaming.”

Visiting the Lion and Tiger Park allows you to get truly up close and personal with the animals, feed them, and share in the tranquility and thrill of their lives and hunting; it offers a marvelous experience of natural ecology and a chance to connect with nature.

The park is committed to the protection and reproduction of Siberian tigers, conducting scientific research and wild training with the ultimate goal of “returning tigers to the wild.”
