The Dalian Chuangguandong Film and Television Base, also known as the Chuangguandong Folk Culture Village, is located in the center of Qingfeng Town in Sanliqiao Village, Lushunkou District. It was built for the shooting of the TV series *Chuangguandong* (Part II).

The scenic area covers a real-scene area of 38,000 square meters, with architectural styles predominantly featuring those of the 1930s and 1940s in the Guandong region, exuding a strong Shandong flavor. In addition, there are traditional Chinese northeastern courtyard houses such as the Wang Family Courtyard, the typical Jiaodong Peninsula-style Jiao Family Courtyard, the Japanese-style Xingfu Courtyard, as well as the shantytown of the poor, Luo's Compound, along with related building complexes such as the police station, gendarmerie, taverns, and old streets of shops.

To date, dozens of film and television works including the movie *The Message*, TV series *Chuangguandong* (Part II), *Auntie Duohe*, *The Legend of Meng Laicai*, *Lei Feng*, *My Mother-in-Law Is Coming*, *The Last Line of Defense*, and *Deep in the Blossoms* have been filmed here, making it one of the first officially designated film and television shooting locations in China.

The *Chuangguandong* Film and Television City is located in Qingfeng Town, Sanliqiao Village, Shuishiying Subdistrict, Lushunkou. The main filming scenes from the drama *Chuangguandong* include the Shandong Courtyard, Wang Family Courtyard, Jiao Family Courtyard, Luo’s Shantytown, as well as the puppet police station, Japanese gendarmerie, Jingzhi Tavern, Sanhe Mutton Soup Restaurant, numerous shops, and street scenery. The filming of *Chuangguandong* transported audiences back to the fervor of the 1930s–1940s Guandong migration movement.

To authentically recreate the historical ambiance of the time, enhance production quality, and ensure the base’s sustainable development, *Chuangguandong* broke away from the previous practice of temporarily constructing sets for single-use. Instead, it opted to build a permanent base that integrates filming, tourism, and daily life, thus forming today’s Dalian Chuangguandong Film and Television City. As you step through the entrance of the film city, you’ll see: old-fashioned courtyards with gray bricks and tiles, taverns and pawnshops with fluttering flags, quaint old streets, and yellowed propaganda posters on the walls… a classic scene of a northern Chinese town in the 1920s and 1930s. At the entrance of the town stands a grand gateway, and further inside are rows of vintage buildings and old-style courtyards.

Going further in, you’ll see the solemn and imposing Shandong Courtyard, the lively and approachable Sanhe Mutton Soup Restaurant and Jingzhi Tavern, the Wang Mansion that extends deep into the sea, and the civilian seaweed-roofed houses full of everyday life. Whether it’s the Shandong Courtyard, the Beijing-style siheyuan, or the humble seaweed-roofed and earthen houses, their interiors are meticulously aged to look authentic, with many items collected from the public as genuine period pieces. Examples include thread baskets, paper jars, dressing tables, gramophones, and spring stools. Stepping inside feels like stepping back in time. Entering the film city is like passing through a time tunnel, wandering between history and reality, and personally experiencing the epic history of *Chuangguandong*.
