Former Site of the Kwantung Government-General Museum

The former site of the Kwantung Government-General Museum is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The former site of the Kwantung Government-General Museum is located on Lenin Street in Lushunkou District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province. It is now known as the Lushun Museum. It was first built in the sixth year of the Republic of China (1917). Originally, it was reconstructed by Japanese imperialism in 1916 on the foundation of an unfinished Russian officers' club after Japan occupied Dalian in 1905. The building combines modern European architectural style with oriental decorative art elements. The museum was initially named the Manchuria-Mongolia Products Museum of the Kwantung Governor-General's Office. In 1918, it was renamed the Kwantung Governor-General's Museum. In 1919, it became the Kwantung Government-General Museum. In 1934, it was renamed the Lushun Museum.

Protected Area: A zone within 51 meters east, 55 meters south, 125 meters west, and 44 meters north of the central point of the main façade (north side) of the building.

Construction Control Zone: A secondary control zone extending 123 meters east, 222 meters south, 40 meters west, and 81 meters north beyond the protected area.
