The former site of Lüshun Institute of Technology is a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit in Dalian.

The former site of Lüshun Institute of Technology is located at No. 89 Maolin Street, Lüshunkou District. On June 28, 2013, it was included in the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Dalian.

The former site of Lüshun Institute of Technology during the Japanese occupation period is located at No. 89 Maolin Street, Taiyanggou, Lüshunkou District. Built in 1900, it has a construction area of 11,680 square meters. Its straight lines and solid structure, as well as its simplicity and elegance, reflect characteristics of Russian classicism. Originally built as barracks for the Russian naval forces, in May 1909, the Japanese repurposed it as the Lüshun College of Technology. It offered departments such as electrical engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, mining, and metallurgy, with a four-year curriculum. Graduates were considered to have the same academic qualifications as those from Japanese higher schools and university preparatory courses. On March 31, 1922, the Japanese elevated the Lüshun College of Technology to the Lüshun Institute of Technology. From August 1945 to May 1955, the site served as barracks for the Soviet Red Army. It now houses the Navy 406 Hospital.

Protected Area: The protected area is defined as 75 meters east, 5 meters south, and 50 meters west and north of the main building of the 406 Hospital inpatient department.

Construction Control Zone: A zone extending 30 meters beyond the protected area is designated as a Class IV construction control zone.
