Laotie Mountain–General Mountain Stone Cairn Tombs

The Laotie Mountain–General Mountain stone cairn tombs are protected as a cultural heritage site of Liaoning Province.

The Laotie Mountain–General Mountain stone cairn tombs date back to the Bronze Age and are located on Laotie Mountain and General Mountain in Tieshan Subdistrict, Lushunkou District, Dalian.

Laotie Mountain is located east of Guojia Village, Tieshan Commune, Lushunkou District, Lüda City, south of Jiucailiang Village, and approximately 5 kilometers west of the Bohai Sea coast. From the northernmost peak of Laotie Mountain, extending northwestward to General Mountain and the northern hill of Diaojiacun, there are over 40 stone cairn tombs spread across a roughly 3-kilometer undulating ridge.

(1) Laotie Mountain.

Protected area: With the center of Tomb M3 at the southern end of the northern peak of Laotie Mountain (121°10′11.6″E, 38°44′54.4″N) as the reference point, the area extends 30 meters east and west, and 50 meters north and south; with the center of Tomb M5 on the northern slope of the February Moon Gap of Laotie Mountain (121°10′01.5″E, 38°45′32.7″N) as the reference point, the area extends 50 meters east, 200 meters north and south, and 30 meters west.

Construction control zone: A secondary construction control zone extends 30 meters beyond the protected area.

(2) General Mountain.

Protected area: With the center of the tomb site (121°09′30.5″E, 38°45′53.9″N) as the reference point, the area extends 100 meters east and west, and 150 meters north and south.

Construction control zone: A secondary construction control zone extends 30 meters beyond the protected area.
