The former residence of General Kontrecheko is located at No. 47 Ningbo Street. With a construction area of 604 square meters, it was originally the official residence of Major General Kontrecheko, who served as the commander of the Russian land forces in Lüshun and the commander of the 7th Division.

From 1919 until the September 18 Incident in 1931, this site served as the official residence of the Kwantung Army commander. During this time, the Japanese modified the building, most noticeably removing the church-like dome tower, which significantly reduced its Russian architectural style. On January 21, 1935, Puyi, the emperor of the puppet state of Manchukuo, stayed here for five days during his second visit to Lüshun.

In 1945, the site became the general’s quarters for the headquarters of the Soviet 39th Army. In 1955, it served as the dormitory for the Third Corps of the People’s Liberation Army.
