Yucheng Park

Yucheng Park is situated in Laicheng Town, Changtu County, and was first established in 1913. Following the Japanese invasion, the park fell into disrepair and was dubbed the "Garden Pit." In 1992, the Laicheng Town government restored the park at its original location. The park now spans 12,000 square meters, featuring a 1,000-square-meter lake with an antique-style waterside pavilion that stands 5 meters tall and has a floor area of 30 square meters. In the southeast corner of the park, there is a four-cornered pavilion covering 20 square meters and standing 3 meters high. The area is tastefully landscaped with poplar and willow trees. The main entrance of the park is a classic Chinese-style gate, above which hangs a plaque inscribed with the name "Yucheng Park" by Tong Wei, Vice Chairman of the China Calligraphers Association and a renowned calligrapher from Changtu. The entire park is compact yet exquisitely laid out. With its hills, water features, pavilions, and terraces, it forms a beautiful landscape painting and serves as a key leisure and recreational spot for the residents of Laicheng.

Laicheng Town: Located 10 kilometers west of the county seat, Laicheng Town enjoys a highly strategic geographical position. It is intersected by the Changfa, Changli, Laolao, and Changsi highways, forming a crisscrossing and well-connected transportation network, making it a vital route for travelers from Inner Mongolia, Jilin, and Heilongjiang heading to Beijing. The town covers a total area of 10,558 hectares, including 6,261 hectares of arable land, 2,000 hectares of forested land, and 76 hectares of water bodies. It administers 13 administrative villages and 4 communities. The total population of the town is 45,000, comprising 30,000 agricultural residents and 15,000 urban residents.
