Tomb of Wu Junsheng

The Tomb of Wu Junsheng is a cultural relic protection unit of Liaoning Province.

Wu Junsheng was born into a poor family in Xinglonggou Village, Changqing Village, Laocheng Town, Changtu County, and was a renowned anti-Japanese general of the Northeast Army. During the Republic of China period, he served as the acting commander-in-chief of the Three Eastern Provinces Security Forces, a general in the Army, and concurrently as the military governor and provincial governor of Heilongjiang Province. On June 4, 1928, on his way back to Fengtian from Yuguang with Zhang Zuolin, he was ambushed by Japanese militarist aggressors and perished in the same train carriage as Zhang Zuolin in the “Huanggutun Incident.” He was 65 years old at the time. After Wu Junsheng was killed in the explosion, he was buried in Wujianfang Village, Dongga Township, Changtu County. In 1958, his tomb was damaged, and his remains were relocated elsewhere. In 1996, the Dongga Township government renovated the tomb site and planted trees around the cemetery.
