Zhanguang Qianfo Mountain Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Qianfo Mountain is a national AAA-level tourist attraction, located in Agumiao Village, Dasijiazi Town, northeast of Zhangwu County, Fuxin City. It lies at the junction of Zhangwu, Faku, and Kangping counties, 45 kilometers from the county seat and 5.5 kilometers from the Baojiatun exit of the Sifu Expressway. At an elevation of 246 meters and covering a total area of 15.9 square kilometers, it was first built in the 26th year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty and named for the hundreds of Buddha statues carved around the mountain.

The cliff carvings at Qianfo Mountain feature a wide variety of styles, lifelike expressions, and vivid postures. They form one of the best-preserved Buddhist stone carving art complexes in the province, possessing high artistic and scientific value. They serve as precious relics for the study of East Asian Tibetan Buddhism history, Buddhist art history, and the cultural exchanges among Tibetan, Mongolian, and Han cultures. Currently, 173 well-preserved Buddha statues remain, with smooth and clear lines, some over a zhang (approximately 3.3 meters) tall and others just over a chi (approximately 0.3 meters). Some still faintly display traces of their original paint.

The mountain features sheer bluestone cliffs and ancient, robust pines. Its natural landscape is characterized by peaks, cliffs, old pines, and peculiar rocks. In midsummer, the mountainside bursts with vibrant wildflowers set against lush greenery, surrounding the temples and enhancing the grandeur of the century-old shrine. In autumn, the hills are ablaze with red foliage, with layers of forests dyed in brilliant colors. Pines stay green while maples turn crimson, and the trees are heavy with fruit. The fragrance of the fruit mingles with the lingering scent of ancient trees and the chanting from the temples, creating a heavenly atmosphere that leaves visitors in awe and reluctant to leave.

On the cliff halfway up Qianfo Mountain, a 2-meter-high and 3-meter-deep cave has been carved out of a single rock. On either side of the cave entrance is an inscription of a couplet: the upper line reads “The Compassionate Sovereign of Mount Putuo,” and the lower line reads “The Free Immortal in the Purple Bamboo Grove,” with the horizontal inscription “Guanyin Cave (carved in the first year of the Xuantong reign)” above the door. This couplet reflects the folk legend of Mount Putuo as the place where Guanyin Bodhisattva spread Buddhist teachings. Being there feels like entering a fragrant, otherworldly paradise.

Ascending to the top of Qianfo Mountain offers a heroic sense of “reaching the summit and looking down upon all the lesser peaks.” Gazing into the distance, Qianfo Mountain borders Crouching Buddha Mountain to the east, Turtle Mountain to the west, Peng Bird Mountain to the south, and Bell Mountain to the north—like stars encircling the moon. It stands as the supreme Qianfo Mountain, forming a unique Five Directions and Five Buddhas realm in the Sahā World.

At the foot of Qianfo Mountain lies Changchun Spring, which maintains a constant temperature year-round. Its gentle stream is crystal clear, especially rich in over ten types of minerals including metasilicic acid and strontium, all meeting national standards. These minerals are beneficial for softening blood vessels, protecting cardiovascular health, and improving overall wellness. A local folk doggerel goes: “Between two mountains in the valley, a clear spring gushes by the ravine. Flowing endlessly from north to south, its waters are transparent and sweet. Even in bitter cold, it never freezes; its wonders and mysteries have spread far and wide. Trace elements prolong life, earning it the name Changchun Spring. Once a river flowing south, now a lake for visitors to admire.”

Dasijiazi Town: Dasijiazi Township is located at the junction of Kangping, Zhangwu, and Faku counties, covering a total area of 113.7 square kilometers. It administers six administrative villages: Zhalanyingzi, Gongjiawobao, Ximing, Dongliang, Shengli, and Dasijiazi, with 3,200 households and a population of 12,000. The terrain of the township is mainly shallow mountainous and hilly. The arable land area spans 53,000 mu, primarily planted with grain crops and soybeans.

In recent years, transportation in Dasijiazi Township has developed significantly, with 23.35 kilometers of paved roads.
