Targeting the family travel market: Macau JW Marriott features an 800-sq-ft kids' play zone

Opened just in May 2015, the Macau JW Marriott Hotel is situated within Macau’s top-tier integrated resort "Galaxy MacauTM". In addition to direct access to the nearby "Skytop Playground", which boasts the world’s longest 575-meter sky-high river adventure and the world’s largest sky-high surf pool, the hotel also features the "JW Kids Club" covering a total area of 800 square meters (242 tatami mats). Alongside hardware facilities like ball pits, slides, inflatable castles, and mirror mazes, the club also offers craft workshops, cooking classes, and K-pop dance sessions, aiming to capture the family travel market.

The JW Kids Club at the JW Marriott Hotel features dedicated activity zones for children aged 3 to 17, including ball pits, slides, inflatable castles, mirror mazes, craft workshops, reading nooks, spider web obstacle courses, as well as an arcade room loved by older kids—with each arcade game requiring additional tokens. The JW Kids Club also houses Macau’s first-ever hair salon designed specifically for children, where young guests can sit in animal-shaped chairs while stylists create new hairstyles.

For pricing, the first two hours cost 120 MOP for one adult and one child on weekdays, with an additional 60 MOP per hour after that. Each extra adult is charged 50 MOP. On weekends and holidays, the first two hours cost 150 MOP, with the same 60 MOP per hour afterward, and each additional adult is 70 MOP. Guests staying at the JW Marriott or The Ritz-Carlton can enjoy a 30% discount by showing their room key. A 10% service charge applies to all rates.
