Taoyuan Airport is buzzing with excitement—opera performances and Santa Claus flash mobs celebrate Christmas together

Making another appearance after the flash mob event on the 18th, Taoyuan Airport is lively in celebrating Christmas. Around 1 PM on the 19th, a large group of Santas dressed in red appeared in the first-floor lobby of Terminal 2, dancing to a series of Christmas tunes. Even Taiwanese opera joined in as performers danced “Riding the White Horse” alongside the red-suited Santas. The entire performance, lasting less than 10 minutes, drew a crowd of onlookers, creating a very festive atmosphere.

To celebrate winning the double honor of “World’s and Asia’s Best Airport Staff Service” in the 2014 Skytrax Awards, Taoyuan Airport arranged a band flash mob and Santa Claus performance in Terminal 2 on the 18th. In addition to entertaining domestic and international travelers to welcome the Christmas season, the event also reminded everyone that the annual Skytrax voting campaign has begun. Travelers are encouraged to go online and cast their votes to continue supporting Taoyuan Airport.
