Swedish Icehotel Crafted from 5,000 Tons of Ice Features Elephant and Handmade Crystal Chandelier Themes

At this time of year, everyone looks forward to the ice sculpture themes at Sweden’s Icehotel.According to the UK’s Daily Mail,this year’s Icehotel features 19 themed rooms, including an African elephant and a 1970s-style love capsule—how clever is that!?

Located in Jukkasjärvi, this ice hotel offers 19 rooms, along with a magnificent church and bar. Creating such a stunning spectacle is no easy feat—5,000 tons of ice are transported here, including a handmade crystal chandelier made of ice.

Once the temperature drops below freezing, artists begin their work, spending about two months on construction. In addition to the breathtaking rooms, the hotel also notifies guests when the Northern Lights appear. Cold-sensitive travelers need not worry—the hotel also offers a spa where you can take a dip while feeling cozy and warm, or enjoy a bath under the starry sky.
