Wisely is well known for loving yakiniku, but isn’t very familiar with the Dazhi-Neihu area, so every time he visits and wants to eat yakiniku, he doesn’t know where would be best; and the long-established “Kanpai Yakiniku” has also set up shop here, opening their ‘Kanpai Original’ flagship store in the beautiful new plaza next to Diafa next to the Jiantai Road MRT station, giving me the chance to indulge and relive their Australian wagyu yakiniku delicacies.

The eye-catching signboard makes it really hard not to notice, and currently this mall is still under construction, so you’ll need to walk from Exit 2 of Jiantai Road Station; if you’re not sure how to get upstairs, you can also call the store to ask for guidance.

The prominent signboard outside looks incredibly imposing from inside the restaurant, and being able to enjoy yakiniku while overlooking the night view is truly a great pleasure!

The interior features a highly distinctive and eye-catching decor with an investment of over NT$40 million, capable of accommodating around 150 people, and includes private rooms and a bar area, and I believe the future “Kanpai Academy” will likely hold events here.

The restaurant’s grilling is done using charcoal, along with three different sauce options to make the yakiniku even more delicious; the cost is roughly NT$1500–2000 per person, and considering the dining environment and quality, it’s actually quite good value.

The fragrant wild rockfish parasite hot pot is absolutely fantastic, with delicious seafood and fresh vegetables paired with sesame|the aroma fills the air as it cooks, and the taste is rich and satisfying, making you want to keep eating more, and the aroma wafts through the air around you. The broth is rich and flavorful.

The crab meat avocado organic greens salad is very nutritious, and paired with Kanpai’s homemade kimchi, it really whets the appetite—I ordered this kimchi several times, and it’s great on its own or with yakiniku!

The restaurant offers a wide selection of drinks, including sodas, colas, and teas, as well as beer, sours, and various alcoholic beverages, such as this Marusen Daiginjo from Toyama which is excellent and pairs perfectly with Japanese-style yakiniku~(Note: don’t drink and drive, stay safe)
● 《ET News Cloud》 reminds you: Don’t drink and drive, and don’t drive after drinking.

The thick beef tongue has a great texture, and choosing the middle section makes it even more delicious and elastic when grilled~^^

The four-wagyu combo is one of the store’s signature offerings, featuring skirt meat, thinly sliced New York strip, block-cut thigh meat, and short ribs, each with distinct flavors, textures, and fat content; for beef lovers, the taste of its aged beef will surely leave you feeling very satisfied!

Freshly cut ribeye has always been one of Kanpai Original’s most highly praised items—you can order as much as you want, priced simply by weight. I tried it at Taipei Shin Kong A9 last time and have been thinking about it ever since! This time I deliberately ordered it cut thicker, 100g for NT$890 which is really great value, and the server separates the cap meat and ribeye for grilling, allowing diners to enjoy the unique flavors of different parts of the beef, and the approximately 40-day aged ribeye has a sweetness and aroma that’s truly distinctive. After tasting it, I’m sure I’ll continue to miss it…

For the first time trying chicken donabe rice, there are two ways to eat it: first is the dry style with the fragrance of sesame oil chicken rice, and then the soup rice style using the concept of soaking the rice in broth, allowing you to enjoy two wonderful flavors of Koshihikari rice in one go.

Finally, there are fresh, plump scallops and South Sea tiger prawns!^O^ They’re delicious even without sauce—the scallops melt in your mouth with a sweet flavor, and the tiger prawns are substantial in size, plus they’re pre-cut and deshelled, and a squeeze of lemon juice makes them even tastier…
In the future, there’s finally a great spot to enjoy yakiniku and fine wine with local friends, and with its seamless service and dining experience, Kanpai Original’s flavors will definitely allow guests to enjoy a high-standard yakiniku experience.
