?2018 Seoul Cherry Blossom Season Predicted Dates
The 2018 cherry blossom season in Korea will begin in Seogwipo, Jeju Island — the southernmost part of the country — on March 20. The southern regions are expected to see blooms from March 25 to 31, the central regions from April 1 to 10, and the northern parts of Gyeonggi Province, northern Gangwon Province, and inland mountainous areas are expected to bloom after April 8. Seoul is expected to have fully bloomed cherry blossoms around April 10.

Cherry blossom viewing in Korea can be divided into three main routes — north, central, and south. To put it simply:

This is the most popular spot for cherry blossom viewing in Seoul, because the city’s most iconic cherry blossom tunnel is located along Yeouinaru-ro on Yeouido. The road is lined with 1,400–1,600 cherry trees that are 30–40 years old. Stretching about 6 kilometers, the path forms a long, circular tunnel of blossoms. Strolling along while enjoying the view of the Han River is magical, and the area is lit up with colorful lights at night — absolutely stunning.

Namsan Cherry Blossom Loop Road
Namsan is located in central Seoul, at an elevation of about 262 meters. It's a beloved summer destination, but every spring, the loop road from the Namsan Library to the Octagonal Pavilion and then to the National Theater of Korea near Jongno 3-ga is filled with cherry blossoms. Seokchon Lake
Every year in April, a cherry blossom festival is held here. Highlights include a walking race along the cherry blossom path and a concert on the path — it’s bound to be lively, and very crowded, XDDD. Originally part of the main Han River waterway flowing through central Seoul, Seokchon Lake was formed when a section of the river was cut off during land reclamation. Surrounded by greenery, it’s a great place to connect with nature. Enjoy the cherry blossoms, take in the lake and mountain views, and lift your spirits. The atmosphere at night is especially magical.
