The world’s tallest indoor waterfall – Singapore’s new attraction Jewel Changi Airport

Singapore’s brand-new lifestyle landmark “Jewel Changi Airport” officially opened on April 17. Located at the heart of Singapore Changi Airport, the ten-storey building offers world-class leisure and entertainment facilities, indoor garden landscapes, over 280 retail and dining outlets, a hotel, and a range of airport operational facilities. Travelers can shop and dine while transiting or traveling.

Inspired by Singapore’s “City in a Garden” concept and designed by internationally renowned architect Moshe Safdie, Jewel Changi Airport places its two breathtaking centrepieces—the Forest Valley and the Rain Vortex—at its core. A variety of unique retail and dining outlets surround these features, allowing visitors to enjoy a diverse shopping and leisure experience amid beautiful garden scenery.

The Rain Vortex is located right at the centre of Jewel Changi. Standing 40 metres tall, it has become the world’s tallest indoor waterfall since its opening. Surrounding the Rain Vortex is the four-storey-high indoor garden, Forest Valley, which is one of the largest and most diverse indoor plant paradises in Singapore. The rooftop features the recently opened Canopy Park, home to attractions such as a walking net, bouncing nets, a hedge maze, a mirror maze, and a fantasy slide, as well as gardens, walking paths, and restaurants.

Over 280 specialty retail and dining outlets will also open progressively, with dining making up 30% of the offerings. Around 60% of the brands are making their debut at Changi Airport, including many international popular brands entering Singapore for the first time, as well as well-known local Singaporean brands, providing a wide range of shopping and dining choices.
 
These include the only Pokémon Centre outside Japan, Nike’s largest standalone brand store in Southeast Asia, a Naiise café by local Singaporean brand Naiise, the gift-focused art gallery store Supermama, the popular Shake Shack burgers, and Tiger Street Lab, the first concept store by Singapore’s national beer brand Tiger Beer. You can visit international Instagram-worthy stores and enjoy delicious food right at the airport.

Jewel Changi connects seamlessly with Changi Airport’s Terminal 1, 2, and 3. Guests can easily travel between terminals on foot or via the elevated Skytrain.
