In recent years, smartphones have become ubiquitous, and travel apps continue to evolve. Some national scenic areas have also jumped on the bandwagon. Aside from using travel apps to provide information on scenic spots and transportation within the area, they have even partnered with local businesses to launch special offers. The “Explore Siraya” app, launched by the Siraya National Scenic Area, includes information on dining, accommodation, attractions, transportation, festivals, specialties, local delicacies, itinerary planning, and more within the area. Starting today, visitors who download the “Explore Siraya” app at designated businesses can enjoy consumption discounts, half-price admission tickets, free coffee vouchers, and other perks.

The Siraya National Scenic Area is located at the junction of high mountains and plains in the eastern part of the Chianan Plain in Tainan City. Its scope covers 14 districts in Tainan City and 2 townships in Chiayi County. The area features the highest density of reservoirs in Taiwan, Taiwan’s only mud hot springs, the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Taiwan, the oldest human fossils in Taiwan, the most beautiful badland landscapes in Taiwan, and the largest traditional Minnan-style settlements in Taiwan. In addition, the Siraya National Scenic Area hosts various seasonal festivals throughout the year, including the Wushantou Cherry Blossom Festival, Meileng Firefly-Watching Season, Baihe Lotus Viewing, Mango Season, Dongshan Coffee Festival, Hot Spring Food Carnival, and Pingpu Night Festival.
