Just three days to go — the highly anticipated New Year’s Eve countdown fireworks musical will light up Victoria Harbour. The “New Year. New World. Hong Kong Countdown,” hosted by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, will be held on the evening of December 31. This year’s show promises to be more spectacular and thrilling than ever, with the entire city gearing up for the final preparations of this fireworks musical extravaganza.

Ranked first among the “Top Ten Most Unique New Year’s Cities in the World,” Hong Kong is once again introducing several brand-new elements to this year’s “New Year. New World. Hong Kong Countdown” event. The highlight is the fireworks display, set to be the largest in history. Over twenty barges will be stationed throughout Victoria Harbour, synchronizing their fireworks with lights and music beats to create a stunning layered spectacle. Victoria Harbour will transform into a giant maritime stage, hosting an 8-minute sea, land, and air fireworks musical that surpasses previous years in scale.
