The Taiwan craze over Yuan Zai has once again demonstrated the charm of pandas. Meanwhile, at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, D.C., a baby panda named “Bao Bao” made her first media appearance on the 6th and is scheduled to officially open to the public at 1:00 PM Eastern Time on January 18.

The 5-month-old panda “Bao Bao” at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, D.C. is just a little younger than Yuan Zai. She made her first media appearance on January 6, winning everyone over with her lovable demeanor. She wandered around without any signs of shyness, while her mother Mei Xiang watched from the side. “Bao Bao” is already quite independent and doesn’t need to cling to her mother all day. Her cute actions such as learning to crawl and playing in the mud were keenly captured by the media.

The zoo also announced that “Bao Bao” will make her official public debut at 1:00 PM Eastern Time on the 18th. Depending on her condition and the weather on that day, she may also be let into the outdoor exhibit area so visitors can see more of her cute moments. In addition, there have been reports of new panda births and growths in places such as Atlanta, USA, and Wakayama, Japan.
