As 2015 draws to a close, Tokyo Disneyland, a favorite among Taiwanese tourists, has released its 2016 event schedule in advance. The park will offer a host of exciting activities, continuing to bring laughter and joy to visitors throughout the year.

◎ “Disney Easter”
◆2016/03/25 – 2016/06/15
Spring returns to the earth and everything comes back to life as the festive Easter special event arrives in full cheer. In 2016, Mickey and other Disney characters will join the Easter bunnies in the lush “Easter Secret Garden” to take on fun-filled egg games, and will appear in parades wearing bunny ears and new outfits to greet visitors. The park will also host its popular annual Easter egg hunt, feature park decorations inspired by the egg hunt, and launch brand-new exclusive merchandise to celebrate the arrival of spring in grand style.

◎ Disney Tanabata Festival
◆2016/06/16 – 2016/07/07
This special Tanabata (Star Festival) event, blending traditional Japanese style with Disney’s joyful colors, will be extended from 14 to 22 days starting in 2016, offering visitors a one-of-a-kind early summer experience. During the event, World Bazaar will be adorned with large ribbons, green bamboo, and other Japanese Tanabata decorations, and a wishing area will be set up for guests to take part in the Japanese tradition of making Tanabata wishes. Mickey and Minnie will also dress up as the Cowherd and Weaver Girl and appear along the parade route to wish visitors their dreams come true.
◎ Disney Japanese Summer Festival

During the special “Disney Japanese Summer Festival,” as summer arrives with clear skies, the area around Cinderella Castle will be decorated with lanterns and other festive elements and feature themed photo spots, creating a uniquely celebratory atmosphere. Disney characters will lead dance performances in entertaining shows, bringing energetic and passionate entertainment, and will dance with visitors under bursts of water showers.

◎ Disney Halloween

As autumn quietly paints the treetops, an all-new “Disney Halloween” will debut at Tokyo Disneyland. Mickey and other Disney characters will team up with mischievous Halloween spirits to create an unimaginably fun and laugh-out-loud Halloween world for every guest visiting the park.

◎ Christmas Magic

During the most heartwarming and dazzling season of the year, Tokyo Disneyland will present a joyful and spectacular Disney Christmas story themed around a “Christmas picture book.” Parade floats that seem to leap straight from the pages of a storybook will journey along the parade route, telling tales of Disney characters spending happy Christmases with their beloved families and friends. World Bazaar will shine even more warmly with a 15-meter-tall Christmas tree decoration, and various themed areas will feature photo spots and Christmas ornaments, filling the park’s streets and alleys with a magical and festive Christmas atmosphere.
