Hong Kong has a new fun attraction: the Comics Bay Area Park has opened on the waterfront promenade of Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai. It’s the city’s first comics-themed park centered around “selfies,” featuring beloved characters familiar to Taiwanese audiences such as Old Master Q, as well as other thirty 1:1 scale original comic character models.

At the Comics Bay Area Park, you can also experience unique aspects of Hong Kong’s local life and culture — such as playing mahjong with comic characters, taking selfies and interacting with them on the Ding Ding tram, trying out “Hong Kong-style shoe shining,” getting a “street haircut,” enjoying dim sum in a giant steamer basket, or joining comic characters in a game of “hopscotch.” It’s full of authentic Hong Kong flavor.

Location: Waterfront promenade and leisure area next to Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai, Hong Kong Island
From Exit A5 of Wan Chai MTR Station, take the Percival Street Footbridge, pass through the Immigration Tower and Central Plaza to Convention Plaza, then turn right towards Great Eagle Centre. After descending the first staircase, follow Fleming Road and Expo Drive East.
