With 4.5 million cardholders worldwide, the International Student Identity Card (ISIC), recognized by UNESCO, offers a variety of consumer discounts for international students. Holders can enjoy over 42,000 discounts in 130 countries, including student-priced airfare, train tickets, and admission to museums, art galleries, and theaters around the world.

Taiwan currently has the highest number of ISIC issuances in Asia. Compared to regular airfare, purchasing a student flight ticket may save you over NT$10,000 in discounts and also includes checked baggage benefits. Additionally, making good use of the ISIC can provide various local transportation discounts, such as 20% off National Express (UK intercity long-distance buses) or 10% off a consecutive 15- or 30-day Europlines pass (European intercity long-distance buses).

In addition, the ISIC offers up to a $50 discount on Chicago dance performances in the U.S., 50% off tickets at South Korea’s National Palace Museum, 20% off full-menu meals at Pizza Hut Restaurants in the UK from Sunday to Thursday with a valid ISIC, and 10% off at Forever 21 in the UK with a valid ISIC.
