Hualien’s Zhikaxuan Green Forest Water Park opens on July 1. In addition to water slides, a large water chute, lazy river, water guns, and rainbow fountains, this year it introduces an 8-meter-high rotating water slide and surf pool. Entry is free during the summer vacation, and visitors are welcome to experience the thrill of high-speed fun.

The water park is about a 10-minute drive from downtown Hualien. Originally an air force base in Hualien, it has since been developed into a forest park with a variety of water activities. Blending elements of nature, ecological education, and leisure, it offers a cool summer escape for both adults and children.

To ensure public safety, the Hualien County Government has arranged for all lifeguards to participate in training and drills, and has tested the safety of every facility to guarantee the safety of all visitors. Those taking part in water activities must also follow lifeguard instructions to enjoy the fun more safely.
