Taiwan’s Huatung Valley boasts abundant natural wonders, with countless mysterious spots and hidden attractions. Thanks to the development of the internet and social media, more and more ecological beauty spots have been gradually discovered. This time, we’re introducing a hidden gem located in Yuli Town, Hualien. This beautiful and tranquil wetland spans approximately 5.9 hectares and boasts rich ecological resources. It utilizes two ecological ponds to filter, absorb, decompose, and purify wastewater before discharging it into the Shoufeng River. After years of ecological cycling, the ponds have developed highly diverse ecosystems, attracting migratory birds such as geese and ducks that fly all the way from Siberia to spend the winter in Taiwan. It’s an ideal destination for group trips and family outings.
