Additionally, the main performance area, due to its site conditions, resembles Times Square in New York, thus evoking a similar vibe to the iconic New Year’s Eve countdown there. Aerial footage effects
During the main performance area’s opening light show, live broadcast footage allowed the public to witness the spectacular performance of the “Little Chi Chicken Family” and the packed crowd. Aerial shots captured the full energy of the event. Directed by Mr. Erma, who frequently collaborates with Mayday concerts, the aerial filming team worked on Mayday’s largest shows and is currently the most experienced in Taiwan’s live performance aerial filming. They showcased the grandeur of the main performance area’s light show.

On February 4, the opening ceremony was livestreamed across multiple platforms, with various media outlets deploying their own streaming teams. Just the official FACEBOOK livestream by the Tourism and Travel Bureau’s “Taipei Tourism Network” attracted nearly 500,000 viewers through various channels to catch the live scenes of the Taipei Lantern Festival’s opening.
