Recently, the Totoro Tunnel in Houli, Taichung, has gone viral online, attracting numerous tourists and photography enthusiasts to visit and take pictures. Many have also started to discover similar Totoro-like tunnel scenery across Taiwan. Tan-Ya-Shen Greenway
The Tan-Ya-Shen Greenway is a tourist route primarily converted from the former TRA Shenkang Line railway into a bicycle path. The route starts at Zhongshan Road (Provincial Highway 3) in Tanzi District, Taichung City, at its eastern end, and heads west through the border area between Tanzi and Fengyuan Districts, as well as through Shenkang and Daya Districts, ending at the Qingquan Air Force Base on the western side.

Bamboo Forest Tunnel
Located in Tai’an Township, Miaoli, besides numerous camping areas, there is also a narrow bamboo forest path hidden among the mountains—only wide enough for one car—that allows you to experience the landscape beauty of traditional Chinese ink paintings and the serene beauty of Arashiyama’s valley woods.

Located on Siyue Road in Houli District, Taichung, amidst fields and small roads, there is a vast stretch of woods. Normally a lush green leafy forest, when the season turns colder, the leaves turn yellow, instantly transforming into a golden-coated Totoro Tunnel—a breathtakingly beautiful sight.
