Late spring to early summer is the season when snow-white Tung blossoms drift through the air, as “May snow” begins to fall across Taiwan. Strolling along roads blanketed with blossoms is both romantic and colorful. The Hakka Tung Blossom Festival takes place on April 29 and 30 at Hebao Tung Blossom Park, Erxi Park, and Beibu Park in Gukeng Township. In addition to blossom-viewing hikes and picnics, the event also features a series of activities such as Hakka cultural performances, DIY food workshops, and Tung blossom lectures, making it one of the key destinations for blossom viewing each year.
