1. Kyushu – Kagoshima Sengan-en Store
Located in Kagoshima City, Kyushu, the Sengan-en branch has an isolated and timeless atmosphere, making it the third Starbucks store to revitalize a nationally designated tangible cultural property. The site was once the “former Seriganosho Shimazu Family Gold Mine Business Office,” owned by the Shimazu family, the lords of the Satsuma Domain, and was built in 1904.

2. Kobe – Kitano Ijinkan Store
The Starbucks Kobe Kitano Ijinkan Store is located in one of the Western-style houses of the Kitano Ijinkan area. It is a two-story wooden building constructed in 1907 by Americans and is filled with exotic and historical charm. This is the first Starbucks in Japan to be established within a tangible cultural heritage site.
