The over 50-year-old tonkatsu institution “MAiSEN Maizen Tonkatsu,” founded in Tokyo, Japan, has not only established three branches in Taiwan but is now responding to the fast-paced lifestyle and needs of modern customers by opening its first dedicated takeout store at Breeze Taipei Station. In addition to selling classic sandwiches and pocket sandwiches, it has also introduced the “mini burger” series from Japan, which is irresistible.

This MAiSEN Maizen Tonkatsu store is the first dedicated takeout outlet in Taiwan and the first overseas branch to offer mini burgers. With its multi-layered flavors and textures, it emphasizes the convenience of being able to enjoy it with one hand—perfect for busy travelers moving between stations.

The newly developed “mini burgers” come in three meat patty flavors: tonkatsu (pork loin), hamburger steak, and shrimp cutlet; the “pocket sandwich” features an exclusive new option like curry pork loin flavor; while the most classic “sandwich” is made with soft, specially baked bread layered with tender tonkatsu and paired with an exclusive sandwich sauce, offering a fluffy texture that’s easy to eat.

In addition to the takeout store that opened on June 22 at Taipei Station, MAiSEN Maizen Tonkatsu will also open a new branch at Taichung Showtime on June 30, and another new branch at Taipei Shinjuku SOGO on July 28.
