This fairytale-style cottage is situated in Shuhu Village, Shoufeng Township, Hualien. It can be seen at the approximately 226.5 km point along Provincial Highway 9. With its irregular form and color palette, it looks as if it leapt out of a funhouse mirror, making it highly eye-catching amidst the surrounding valleys. Even before its official opening, it has sparked plenty of discussion and photo-sharing.

This fairytale cottage café (Mr. Sam Café) officially opened on July 1, alongside an original illustration and cover art exhibition by Taiwanese illustrator Mr. Wu Jianfeng, titled ‘Magic Tree House.’ For those who love this unique building or are planning to visit Hualien soon, there’s one more attraction to explore.
