Recently, the popular ramen "Pigman Ramen," originating from Kyoto’s Ichijoji district in Japan, will also open its first branch in Taiwan on July 2. The opening event is quite special—the owner will forcibly give everyone an extra free serving of noodles.

"Pigman Ramen" has 9 outlets in Japan and 4 in South Korea, specializing in ultra-rich tonkotsu-style ramen. With pork bone broth as its base and generous portions, it is especially loved by students. It has also received a rating of 3.28 stars on Tabelog, known as the "Oscars of the Japanese food industry."

The first overseas branch is located in an alley behind Ming Yao Department Store. During the soft opening period, customers will be forcibly given an extra free portion of noodles—even if they can’t finish it, that’s fine. The Taiwan branch menu includes Tonkotsu Ramen (NT$220), Tonkotsu Salt Ramen (NT$220), Soy Sauce Tonkotsu Ramen (NT$220), and Salt Tonkotsu Ramen (NT$220). For an additional NT$100, you can upgrade to a large portion that includes scallions, bean sprouts, and char siu piled high in your ramen bowl.
