Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, RAPL has undergone 30 years of continuous refinement. Upholding the three core principles of “prioritizing quality ingredients,” “not sparing time or effort,” and “insisting on freshly baked products,” it has achieved its current level of deliciousness—and continues to pursue even greater flavor. In late 2017, the freshly baked custard apple pie specialty store “RAPL POMPANO” officially made its overseas debut in Taiwan. With its crispy crust enclosing diced apples and custard filling, its unique texture and innovative shape won over consumers.
RAPL POMPANO became a hot topic with its unique “palm-sized happiness” design and the delightful taste of sweet apples and creamy custard blending together in every bite.
The “RAPL Honey Lemon Apple Pie” combines a freshly baked 144-layer flaky croissant crust, diced apples from Aomori Prefecture (with leaves not removed), and a fresh milk custard filling. The exterior is coated with fresh honey lemon sauce and sprinkled with slightly sour and sweet dried lemon pieces. This uniquely Taiwanese combination of tangy and refreshing flavors will only be available for one and a half months during the summer. One bite reveals a surprising mix of crispy crust, sweet apples, and rich custard cream.
