The Lio Hotel Group and Dayi Construction have jointly introduced their design boutique hotel brand - "The Place Lio Travel" in Taichung, which grandly opened on July 17, 2018. Located in the cultural hub of Taichung’s Caotu Dao (Grassland Insight) commercial district, The Lio Hotel Taichung Dayi showcases the brand’s unique characteristics of Fun, Fusion, and Fashion, blending the culture and lifestyle charm of Taichung.

The 12-story hotel building houses 170 exquisitely designed comfortable rooms, an art exhibition space, and an Italian restaurant. The overall space is planned with an “art gallery” concept, using a clean white palette as the main theme, while black metal fixtures and light beams create subtle lines.
ZEBRA Restaurant, located on the first floor of The Lio Hotel Taichung Dayi, emphasizes a five-sensory natural gourmet experience. The interior uses the distinctive black and white colors of a zebra to define natural spatial boundaries. The minimalist white creates a bright, airy, and warm ambiance, while the deep black adds a modern and stylish design touch.
The restaurant also features a special outdoor space, with ground surfaces made of earthy-toned stones and green landscaping, creating a lush, natural atmosphere that allows you to fully enjoy Taichung’s naturally sunny climate.
The chef breaks traditional culinary boundaries by blending healthy Italian cuisine with the flavors of Taiwanese cooking, emphasizing locally sourced fresh ingredients. With his unique and bold creativity, each dish is infused with a fresh new look, authentically presenting the most vibrant and exquisite flavors of the ingredients, offering you a dual delight for both the eyes and the palate. ZEBRA is located on the first floor of The Lio Hotel Taichung Dayi and is open during three time slots: breakfast (06:30–10:30), lunch (11:30–14:00), and dinner (17:30–21:30).
