When planning my Okinawa itinerary, “giant slides” were at the very top of my must-visit list!

Among the things I prioritized most in my Okinawa itinerary were the “giant slides”!

Actually, when I was looking up information, it seemed there were other parks with slides, but based on how fun the slides were and how smoothly they fit into my travel route, I included three of them in my six-day itinerary!

The first one%逗＞?竟?傲锘?菁/span>

On the day we arrived in Okinawa and rented a car, it was already 5 PM, so we didn’t plan too much for the day. The Navy Trench Park is located south of Naha, in the same Uruma City as Umikaji Terrace on Senaga Island, which we were also planning to visit, so it was convenient to stop by Navy Trench Park first.

Actually, in the first photo, if we had just turned our heads from where we parked, we would have seen the start of the slide — but we didn’t look carefully and ended up walking uphill searching for it for half an hour XD

Navy Trench Park actually has two giant slides: one in blue-green that’s longer and steeper. Before sliding down, I was a bit hesitant, so I had my boyfriend go first. Yep, it really did look quite intense, and then I quietly went ahead and slid down the yellow one XD

The yellow one was more gentle, but it still had some slopes that couldn’t be underestimated. Fortunately, the whole thing was surrounded by railings, which made me feel safe enough to enjoy myself and scream without worry.

However, the slides are the roller-type and quite long, so my butt really did get a bit sore after sliding down. I noticed that the kids nearby all had plastic mats. It made us look pretty clueless — turns out you can buy those at 100-yen shops.

If you’re planning to tackle three slides like we did, I recommend getting one. Totally worth it XD Keeps your bum well protected (or you could use cardboard or a plank, more on that later).

After sliding down, there are some playground facilities — all perfect for little kids!

The second one%镀痔泶蠊?凹/span>

Located in Urasoe City, Urasoe Dai Park is just a short drive north of Naha. Nearby, there’s also “Kanekawa Foreign Settlement,” which is one of my favorite spots.

Once you climb up, you’ll first see a bunch of smaller slides — kids would definitely go wild here with so many play facilities.

But our goal was bigger!! The giant slide (with determined eyes). The entrance is just uphill behind the small slides. Actually, you can faintly see the slide from the side — it’s seriously long!!!

There were a few people waiting in line, but not many, and we even managed to find a piece of cardboard (teary-eyed thanks to God). But we don’t encourage littering, so remember to take it with you after using it ~~~

I think it’s fairly long, and sliding down makes you feel like you’re having the time of your life!!

Look how thrilled I am, laughing so hard. With the help of the cardboard, I felt invincible, and I couldn’t help going for a second round — it was just too much fun ~~~~~ Both Urasoe Dai Park and Navy Trench Park were so fun, I couldn’t choose between them!
