The "Yuchuanchang Izakaya," once located in the East District shopping area, has now relocated to Huashan 1914 Creative Park on Section 1, Bade Road, and continues operations with a fresh new look. It offers an à la carte fisherman-style cuisine. Wisely was also invited to dine there with friends and see how the flavors compare to the previous menu.

Unlike its previous location tucked away in an alley, the new spot is situated inside the park. While it retains the traditional izakaya decor and dining style, it now closes at 11 PM at the latest—but that should still be enough time for a satisfying meal.

The restaurant is based on nostalgic red brick interiors, enhanced with Japanese-style decorations to give it a more vintage feel, capturing the essence of early Taiwanese-style Japanese izakayas.

● 《ET News Cloud》 reminds you: Don't drink and drive. Don’t drive after drinking.

In terms of pricing, the average cost per person is around NT$300–500. At lunchtime, they offer an à la carte "Seasonal Fisherman’s Cuisine" set, which includes six courses: appetizer, sashimi, chef’s special, main dish, soup, and dessert. For those wanting something simpler, there’s also wild boar grilled meat N<可以做选择。

This time, in addition to ordering a seasonal fisherman’s cuisine set, we also added on N<饭和串烧,看起来超澎湃的!

Until the end of this month, you can get a free Highball (original, lemon, ume plum, or mandarin orange)—choose one of four options. Their sours are also quite generous in size, making it perfect for unwinding after work with a few friends over skewers and drinks. 《Note: Don’t drink and drive, stay safe》

The à la carte "Seasonal Fisherman’s Cuisine" included crab salad (appetizer), scallops/bonito/rolled ice (sashimi), oyster rice (main dish), geoduck clear soup (soup), and pineapple cheese (dessert).

In terms of taste and portion, I found the sashimi pieces a bit small, but the rice and soup were good. The salad was fairly average, while the pineapple cheese was quite unique—overall, it was filling.

The chef’s specials were giant crab claws and New Zealand crayfish, both fresh in flavor and reasonably priced for what you get.

Wild boar grilled meat N<有酱烧与盐味两种且都有半熟蛋乙颗,并附一碗海带芽清汤,但我觉得猪肉虽厚但是有点偏干柴油脂略少,而且米饭也是较干了点,但是调味部分算挺不错,是店家的强项之一。

The most recommended items are still their skewers and grilled dishes—whether it’s the dreamy beef short ribs, scallion chicken, or Matsusaka pork. These are all quite good, priced in the mid-to-high range, and pair nicely with drinks as bar snacks.
