The Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb Adds Chinese Language Service
Climbing world-famous architectural landmarks is one of the adventure travel experiences many people love. Among the “Top 10 Must-Do Experiences in Australia,” the “Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb” activity launched in recent years has become hugely popular and is suitable for all ages. This thrilling activity has attracted more and more Chinese tourists, and recently, Sydney’s iconic Harbour Bridge introduced a Chinese-language guided service to better cater to climbers from Chinese-speaking regions.

Regarded as one of Sydney’s landmarks, the Sydney Harbour Bridge can be seen from almost anywhere in The Rocks area. Rising 134 metres from the harbour surface to the top of the arch, it is the world’s largest steel arch bridge. The popular “Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb” is mainly offered in two time slots — daytime and nighttime. Before ascending, participants must undergo an alcohol test, after which guides explain the equipment to be worn and safety precautions, thoughtfully providing warm clothing to shield against the strong winds on the bridge.
According to regulations, no personal belongings are allowed on the bridge, so when reaching the summit, guides take digital photos of participants for keepsakes, which can be purchased later at the photo centre. The entire climb takes about 3.5 hours. Guides share the history of the Sydney Harbour Bridge while telling jokes to entertain visitors. During the climb, participants often get so caught up in the stunning views that they forget their fears.

This year, the Sydney Harbour Bridge offers services in Chinese, including Cantonese, tailored specifically for climbers from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, and other regions.
