Hong Kong has always been a paradise for food and shopping. Although airfares and hotel prices in Hong Kong have both risen by about 20% this year, making Hong Kong tour packages slightly more expensive than in previous years, they remain relatively affordable compared to other destinations. This year’s travel expo features 14 booths from 12 travel operators, all promoting three-day-two-night early departure, late return itineraries with an all-inclusive price of NT$9,888 (taxes included), starting at less than NT$10,000, allowing travelers to enjoy an overseas trip.

According to the latest statistics, as of September this year, the number of Taiwanese visitors to Hong Kong exceeded 1.63 million, an increase of 10% compared to the same period last year; among them, the number of overnight visitors grew by nearly 25%! This shows that the impact of cross-strait direct flights on Hong Kong has been limited, and Hong Kong remains a top choice for Taiwanese people for short holidays, shopping, and dining. With the upcoming peak season for overseas travel at the end of the year, Hong Kong tours can be easily booked for under NT$10,000, with additional benefits such as the Airport Express, Octopus Card one-day pass for the MTR, Ngong Ping 360 cable car tickets, and e-visas. In addition, the Hong Kong Tourism Board has revealed a surprise itinerary at the Hong Kong Pavilion in advance—the “Hong Kong Michelin Star Dining Plan.” By purchasing a Hong Kong itinerary at the travel expo, visitors can win one of 300 limited precious Michelin-starred dining experiences in Hong Kong.

This year is set to attract a wave of consumer excitement. Popular itineraries include those offered by Zhengtai and Yingjia Travel Agencies, both featuring three-day-two-night early departure, late return packages with four-star hotels starting at NT$9,888, along with six travel gifts. Lion Travel packages a three-day-two-night Hong Kong trip starting at NT$11,299, specially arranging a guided tour of the former Marine Police Headquarters 1881 Heritage, the newest landmark in Tsim Sha Tsui, and including a luxurious traditional English afternoon tea in the heritage building’s converted restaurant, plus an added Octopus MTR day pass. The popular Hong Kong Disneyland itinerary from Tianqing Travel starts at NT$12,500, including two nights at Disney Hollywood Hotel, Disneyland tickets, and Ngong Ping 360 Crystal Cabin tickets. Canxing Travel offers the “Peninsula One Night Stand,” making the dream of staying at The Peninsula Hotel achievable without a high price—three days and two nights starting at NT$15,999, with one night at The Peninsula and one night at a city hotel, plus free Airport Express, e-visa, and an Octopus Card. Canxing Travel also unveils a pre-Lunar New Year itinerary, available for early booking during the expo with early bird prices starting at NT$15,999. The special package includes a ride on the Bauhinia Cruise to watch the Lunar New Year’s second-day fireworks over Victoria Harbour, accompanied by a cozy and romantic onboard buffet dinner, plus free Airport Express, e-visa, and an Octopus Card.

November is also the time for the “Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival,” where exciting events themed around fine wine and gourmet food will be held across various locations in Hong Kong, including street carnivals in Central’s Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo districts, and the Sai Kung Seafood Festival.
