The Flower Expo’s Splendor Pavilion: A Dazzling Floral Feast

The “International Indoor Floral Competition” gathers world-class landscaping and floral art experts. The exhibition hall also features a variety of novel exotic flowers, paired with cultural elements from different countries, their unique floral techniques, and landscape arrangements, creating a vibrant and colorful floral carnival. Out of 26 awards, Taiwan won 12 major prizes, with a total of 10 Taiwanese floral and horticultural organizations receiving honors.

To celebrate the opening of the Splendor Pavilion, two spectacular floral walls were specially designed at the entrance, created by over 100 people in nearly a week. The colorful flower installations on the walls had to undergo maintenance, trimming, and other care processes before being used. The floral walls incorporate the five colors of the Flower Expo—red, blue, green, purple, and yellow—along with 100,000 high-quality cut flowers from all over Taiwan. They require 2 to 3 hours of flower replacement daily, making it a time-consuming and labor-intensive process. However, this also means the floral walls take on different colors each day, bringing visitors ever-changing surprises.
