The 12th “Art Gallery” of the Chu Wei Museum of Art is now accepting submissions until the end of April. Open to individuals aged 20 or above, students and recent graduates from fine arts-related departments at universities and colleges, as well as anyone passionate about artistic creation, with an exhibition period of approximately one year. Selected participants will receive a cash prize of NT$5,000 and benefits such as free admission to the museum for 365 days.

This year, the Art Gallery is set to reach a new milestone, with the cumulative number of creators reaching 300. Spanning 200 meters, the Art Gallery is a long-term platform provided by the Chu Wei Museum of Art for young artists to freely express their creativity. To reward and nurture young talent, the museum also sponsors the materials needed for their creations. In addition, this year marks the first “Tunnel Entrance Space Project,” which accepts works in any medium and invites various participants to propose highly interactive residency projects. The resulting artworks will be displayed in the Tunnel Entrance Space of the Art Gallery, complementing the other pieces on exhibit.

The results of this year’s selection will be announced on the official website on June 5. Selected participants for the “Art Gallery” will have their on-site creation period scheduled between July 2 and August 20, every Saturday from 10:00–22:00 and every Sunday from 10:00–18:00. Those selected for the Tunnel Entrance Space Project will undertake their residency during the museum’s opening hours between July 2 and August 20.
