Designed by internationally acclaimed architect Li Zuyuan and completed after eight years of meticulous construction, L’Hotel de L’Amitié Beitou features a design dominated by natural wood and stone, complemented by titanium-plated metals and lush greenery—creating a classical ambiance where nature and culture shine in harmony. Guided by a philosophy of refined elegance and customer-first service, the hotel has built a loyal clientele through word-of-mouth alone within just one year of operation, and recently earned the prestigious five-star rating from Taiwan’s Tourism Bureau.

The secrets behind L’Hotel de L’Amitié Beitou’s five-star recognition lie in its many thoughtful details. Firstly, the hotel is situated at the highest point along Youya Road in Beitou, surrounded by Yangmingshan, Danfeng Mountain, and Guanyin Mountain, offering guests a tranquil and refined setting. With over 1,600 ping of space, the hotel houses just 66 guest rooms, each exceeding 16 ping in size and featuring private hot spring tubs with both hot and cold options. The hot spring water is sourced from the nearby Baishuang Spring at Yangmingshan’s Dahuangzui, and thanks to the hotel’s elevated location, guests can enjoy top-tier thermal bathing in complete privacy.

Guests staying in the rooms are also treated to the hotel’s own line of bath and skincare products—not commercially available ones. Despite higher costs, the hotel’s dedication to guest comfort is evident. All bedding is made from premium combed cotton with an 800-thread count in a 30x30 grid, a material typically found only in high-end dress shirts, ensuring a silky-smooth sleeping experience.

Additionally, the hotel has enlisted a chef graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in France to craft creative dishes at its European restaurant, combining French culinary techniques with locally sourced ingredients—often leaving food lovers craving more. Meanwhile, Executive Chef Yong Cuiting, with years of experience, fuses Cantonese and Taiwanese cooking styles to bring new flavors to the gourmet scene in Yangmingshan.
