The 24-Hour Marathon Photography Competition Returns to Tainan in August

After an eight-year hiatus, Fujia Company will hold the “11th Urban 24-Hour Marathon Digital Photography Competition” in Tainan from August 11 to 12 this year. The organizer, Fujia, has held the competition in different counties and cities across Taiwan for ten consecutive years. The purpose of the event is to encourage the public to pick up their cameras and document the happenings around them, capturing the full scope of Tainan’s morning and evening scenes through a non-stop 24-hour marathon.

Chen Jun’an, Director of Tainan City Government’s Tourism Bureau, stated that the 24-Hour Marathon Photography Competition provides a space and time for young people to showcase their passion, energy, and creativity, allowing them to present their unique perspectives on Tainan through photography. The Fujia 24-Hour Marathon Photography Competition is a creatively formatted photography contest. The Tainan session will kick off on the morning of August 11 and will be divided into five segments. The organizers will distribute themes at different competition sites in Tainan every 4–5 hours. Participants must submit their works at the sites and receive the next theme for creation. The event will conclude on the morning of August 12.

The competition offers seven awards, with the top prize valued at approximately NT$100,000. The city government plans to add special awards to further encourage participation. Registration is now open until June 24 (or until filled), with 250 two-person teams available. Additionally, the Taipei session of the 24-Hour Marathon Digital Photography Competition will take place from August 4 to 5.
