Shoushan Observation Deck LOVE Megaphone – Lovers Share Their Feelings Loudly

To further enhance the romantic ambiance, the observation deck features the “LOVE Megaphone” art installation, decorative plaques inscribed with declarations of love in 32 languages, and three monkey-shaped stone sculptures symbolizing the three stages of love—pursuit, passionate romance, and enduring union.

Located at one of the highest points on Shoushan, the Lover’s Observation Deck offers unobstructed views of the streets and harbor, making it a popular nightspot for couples to enjoy the city lights. The Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau has designated this as a top destination for romantic dates and wedding photo shoots. In addition to the giant interactive “LOVE Megaphone” installation shaped with the word LOVE—conveying the romantic notion that love should be expressed boldly—the site also features three monkey-shaped stone sculptures representing the different stages of love: pursuit, passionate romance, and lifelong union. The observation deck displays plaques with declarations of love in 32 languages, symbolizing that love is a universal language that transcends borders. These elements encourage couples to express their feelings bravely, enjoy romantic moments together, and represent solemn vows, lifelong bonds in Kaohsiung, and eternal love.
