Costa Atlantica Makes Its First-Ever Taiwan Debut with Special Cruises Starting June 22

The Italian Costa Cruises, hailed as "Europe’s No. 1 Cruise Brand," will deploy its Costa Atlantica ship to Taiwan for the first time in June. The line will launch an “Exclusive Taiwan Voyage,” departing from Keelung Port on June 22 and June 27. This will be the newest and largest flagship vessel from Costa Cruises operating in Asia, and currently the only Italian fashion cruise ship visiting Taiwan, featuring the experience of a “Venice at Sea” as its main highlight.

Once selected by Porthole Magazine as “Europe’s Best New Cruise Ship” and by Condé Nast Traveler readers as one of the “Top 10 Cruise Ships,” the Costa Atlantica draws its interior design inspiration from Italian cinematic art. Each deck is named after classic films by legendary Italian director Federico Fellini, such as 8½, Rome, and The Clown. The cruise lobby even recreates the glamorous scenes from the film La Dolce Vita. Moreover, the ship’s Caffè Florian is a recreation of the famed 1720-established café of the same name in Venice—believed to be its only global maritime branch. With its elegant ambiance and attentive service, enjoying a cup of authentic Italian coffee here feels just like being in Venice.

The Costa Atlantica features 1,057 cabins, including 54 luxury suites with private balconies, 620 cabins with private balconies, 167 ocean-view cabins, and 212 interior rooms. Over 65% of the cabins offer balconies, allowing guests to fully enjoy a relaxing sea voyage. The ship also offers a wide array of entertainment and leisure facilities suitable for all ages and times, including spas, beauty salons, saunas, pools, hot tubs, fitness centers, bars, and more. The theater hosts a variety of performances, ensuring memorable evenings at sea.

Additionally, the Costa Atlantica houses 4 restaurants and 12 bars that serve premium food and drinks throughout the day. The Botticelli Buffet Restaurant, which offers buffet meals, is particularly popular, serving mouthwatering Italian dishes alongside a wide selection of Asian cuisines. From the restaurant’s stunning glass staircase, you can access another dining venue, the Club Atlantica. This two-story club restaurant, named after the ship, offers a refined atmosphere where guests can enjoy distinctive à la carte dishes. The Tiziano Restaurant, spread across two floors, is the venue for themed dinners, where special menus are created to match the evening’s theme. One of the most popular dinner themes is “Italian Night,” where, accompanied by soft melodies, crew members invite guests to dance and celebrate together for a joyful and unforgettable night.

The exclusive Taiwan voyages offered in collaboration between Costa Cruises, Phoenix Travel, and Baiwei Travel include the “Keelung • Kagoshima • Busan 6-Day Cruise” departing June 22, and the “Keelung • Kagoshima • Jeju 6-Day Cruise” departing June 27. These routes allow travelers to explore the sights of both Japan and South Korea, returning to Keelung Port at the end. For Taiwanese travelers, the convenience of embarking and disembarking at Keelung Port means there's no need to fly all the way to Europe—yet they can still enjoy a Mega Ship-class luxury cruise.
