Located in Houli District, Taichung City, Zhongshe Sightseeing Flower Market is the only flower market in central Taiwan successfully cultivating tulips at low altitudes. This year, it has planted around 150,000 tulips in over 40 varieties—including red, pink, purple, and bi-color strains—which bloom in rotation from early to mid-March in its European-style garden. And tulips aren’t the only stars here. The 6-hectare site also features a variety of seasonal flowers such as lilies, lavender, salvia splendens, scarlet sage, roses, and other plants, creating a romantic European garden setting with a riot of blossoms. The tulip season runs from January next year through mid-March.
