Travel magazine votes "Best Hotels in Taiwan 2017" – Mandarin Oriental Taipei takes the crown

The globally renowned travel and lifestyle fashion magazine DestinAsian has just released its 2017 list of "Best Hotels in Taiwan", with Mandarin Oriental Taipei ranking as the top hotel in Taiwan.
The "Readers' Choice" awards by DestinAsian magazine have been running for 12 years. The 2017 winners were selected based on reader surveys conducted between August and October 2016, focusing primarily on the needs of business and leisure travelers. The open survey, which did not provide a list of nominees, faithfully reflects the opinions of high-end travelers across the Asia-Pacific region.
In addition to Mandarin Oriental, Taipei W Hotel, Grand Hyatt Taipei, Sheraton Taipei, Taipei Shangri-La, Taipei Silks Place, Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel Taipei, Okura Prestige Taipei, FreeSoul Boutique Hotel, and Eclat Taipei were also recognized.
The selection was based on criteria such as service, location, modern facilities, dining quality, comfort, and outstanding design. Votes were cast across 31 industry categories related to the travel sector, including hotels and resorts, serviced residences, spas, airlines, airports, and travel destinations.
