International fast fashion brands have been expanding their presence in Taiwan, and the highly anticipated H&M, after confirming its Taiwan store opening schedule last year, has drawn significant attention and excitement from consumers. It officially opened on February 13, 2015, during the Valentine’s Day period and Lunar New Year holiday, with the expected shopping frenzy and popularity projected to be substantial.

In addition to the brand’s appeal and long-term marketing impact that continue to spark discussion, the opening-day promotional activities also garnered consumer attention. H&M prepared limited-edition queue gifts for customers, with the first person in line receiving an H&M product gift voucher worth NT$8,000. The first 300 customers received product vouchers worth NT$500 each. Additionally, 2,000 limited-edition shopping bags were given out as surprise gifts in a lucky bag concept.

Aside from H&M entering Taipei, another international fast fashion brand, Forever 21, also opened at ATT4FUN in May 2015. Together with existing brands like ZARA and GAP, the selection of international brand shopping options in Taipei’s Xinyi District has significantly improved.
