Taiwanese bubble tea has become a global sensation, almost a must-try delicacy for every international visitor to Taiwan. Now, Yilan has also unveiled the world’s first “Bubble Tea Culture Museum,” which features a light bulb-shaped bubble tea—full of gimmicks, sparking quite a discussion online. Especially since only 80 cups are available per day, you can't get one without making an advance reservation.

Yilan’s “Qili Bay” Bubble Tea Culture Museum is Taiwan’s first cultural exhibition hall themed around bubble tea. Here, you can experience DIY bubble tea activities, guided tours, and more. The surrounding wetlands also offer beautiful scenery, making it a great spot for weekend outings. The museum also offers meals, and ordering a set meal comes with a complimentary light bulb bubble tea. A single cup is priced at NT$88.

Currently, the “Qili Bay” Bubble Tea Culture Museum is still in its trial operation phase and will officially open in February. Those wishing to try the light bulb bubble tea need to make a phone reservation in advance, and it is for on-site consumption only—not available for takeaway.
