Non-stop flower viewing: Zhudong’s six-hectare sea of blossoms at its most beautiful

With spring here, the floral displays just keep coming. Zhudong’s Sanchongli features a stunning six-hectare field of cosmos flowers in full bloom, making it the perfect destination for the upcoming weekends and the 228 Holiday.

In the farmland near Lane 421, Section 2, Zhongxing Road, Sanchongli, Zhudong, cosmos flowers are in full bloom, creating a spectacular six-hectare sea of color. The vibrant blossoms complement the local traditional houses and green trees, resulting in a truly enchanting scene. This flower field event is jointly organized by the Hsinchu County Farmers' Association and several other local organizations. During the first cropping season of 2015, university students were invited to collaborate on creating a colorful rice paddy art display in Zhudong. The rice was harvested at the end of last year, and before harvesting, landscape green manure was sown in the paddies—not only beautifying the rural landscape but also serving as ecological fertilizer for the next rice crop.
